DAVE GENT came to work with MATAU!

We hope you are not sitting there wondering who this musician is that came to work with MATAU during their rehearsal session!!!!

Dave Gent is only the bass guitarist for the NZ iconic band 'THE EXPONENTS'!  For those of you who are old enough, his band was also known as the 'Dance Exponents'.

Yes, he helped them (especially Josh Bonnar) with their cover song 'Why Does Love Do This To Me'.

Dave mentioned he enjoyed it so much, he'd love to come back and do some more sessions with them if they'll have him........ha ha ha........IF WE'LL HAVE HIM?

You can come back anytime you want Dave.  We'd love for you to work with our students.

FAIRFIELD/ARROWTOWN MUSIC EXCHANGE 2016 TERM 3, WEEK 3

The Fairfield/Arrowtown Music Exchange is nearly upon us.

This year Fairfield school will be coming to Arrowtown on Monday, 8 August and returning to Dunedin on Wednesday, 10 August 2016.

We will be required to host eleven of their children in our homes just as they do for our students when we travel to Dunedin for the exchange.  The Fairfield school students will need to have packed lunches prepared for them for the Tuesday and Wednesday while they are here.  They will be travelling up the mountain hopefully on the Wednesday morning and leaving from there(as long as someone organises a snow dump mighty soon).

At the moment, this is the draft plan for the exchange:

              family.
