Filming The ROCKSHOP BANDQUEST Video Entry in the Performing Arts Room.....fingers crossed!!!!

Well it was our last chance to do the absolute best we could possibly do.

Michael Eden (an ex-pupil of Arrowtown school and was a member of the very first band of this school) is now at the end of his second year at Otago University studying music.  He donated his time and gear to assist us with the sound and visuals for the filming this time.

Sam and Tony Ross sold us an amazing new PA which we used on the day.

Liam from TomTom Productions came on board and offered some lighting and Party Plus in Queenstown delivered some stage lighting and a smoke machine.

Paul and Barb were present as usual to offer support and of course our main supporters...our families.

Here is a slideshow of the photos that were taken during the filming of our video on Wednesday, 27 November 2013:

Filming The ROCKSHOP BANDQUEST Video Entry at the YOUTH BOOTH in Queenstown.

"THE FRECKLED MANGOES" filmed their BANDQUEST video entry at the YOUTH BOOTH in Queenstown today.

Everyone arrived at school at 8:30 this morning to load all the band equipment in the vehicles.  Unfortunately, the Youth Booth only had front of house speakers and Ms Neill felt we needed fold-back speakers for our vocalists so she returned to school with a parent to grab our new ones.

Our lunch was delivered by the HALO CAFE as a treat(Thank you Claire and Bruce) but we certainly worked very hard after that and we just about crawled out of there as we were so exhausted!  Thank you to our parents who we hired as ROADIES today and also to Barb and Paul who didn't even have one of their children in the group but helped us out anyway.  Here are a few photos from the day!

EXTRAVAGANZA UPDATE...Only 5 weeks to go!

Tēnā koutou,

Yes, you read that correctly.  We are in week 4 now and the shows are in week 9 during the last week of school this term.  If you know that your family are definitely going to be away on holiday, PLEASE let the classroom teacher or myself know by dropping us a quick email: karenn@arrowtown.school.nz

Costumes
If you do not know what your child is wearing for their item, YOU NEED TO CONTACT THEIR CLASSROOM TEACHER as soon as possible as I will be asking for the costumes to be brought along to their Performing Arts classes from week 6.  The staging will be erected on the weekend of the 14-15 September and each class will be called over to rehearse their items in costume on the stage in week 7.  Please email myself or your child's classroom teacher if you are struggling with acquiring costumes.

Make-Up / Face Paint
Many of the class items will require the students to have either make-up or face paint applied to their skin.  If this is a problem, PLEASE let their classroom teacher know immediately.

Ticket Sales
Tickets will be $15 per seat regardless of the age of the person sitting on them.  There will only be 284 seats available per show so don't delay in buying your tickets as you will miss out.

                                                 Both shows will sell out!

Tickets will go on sale from the office in Week 7 on Monday, 9 September at 8.30am.

No phone bookings will be taken.  Please do not send your children in to buy the tickets as there is a seating plan and you will need to view it.

Show Starting Times
The show will start right on 7.00pm each night.  If you are not in and seated by 7.00pm, you will be asked to wait in the foyer until the first item is finished.

 Thank you
