Puppet Making Days!

 

We have begun making our puppets in class and many of our students have put a lot of effort into their creations.



Be sure to ask your teacher when your puppet making day is.  You need to be organised and have all your resources ready for the class:

Year 1 - 2:  Paper bag Puppets / Paper plate puppets  (all resources are supplied by 
                  Ms Neill)

Year 3 - 5:  Box or Sock Puppets ( An old sock, accessories 
                  for eyes, noses, tongues, hair(wool/tinsel), 
                  arms/legs, material for clothes)

Year 6 - 8: Muppet Puppets ( 2 x 2l or 1.5l plastic bottles,    
                 duct tape, accessories for body parts, felt/stretch  
                 material like t-shirt material for covering plastic.

Room 8 were the first class to start making their puppets for their shows at the end of the term.

The majority of the class were extremely organised and arrived with all the necessary resources to complete their characters.

PUPPET SHOWS!!!

Each student during Performing Arts this term will be creating puppets. Once they have made their puppet, they will be writing puppets shows in groups of 2 - 4 based on the work we are covering in our te reo Māori classes.
